• What is contextualizing?
Plagiarism has been defined as the practice of showing someone else’s work as your own production. There are various assessments and platforms available on electronic media which highlight the copied text from the script. They are specially designated for performing this eminent task of picking up the copied text from the respective portion of your writing. Plagiarism has been recorded as the worst crime and can be treated with a penalty or punishment.
Generally, contextualizing an idea, event or statement means placing it in its bigger setting where it obtains its complete and true meaning. It has been defined as the most significant factor that influences the use of language, format, and scripture in a proper way. It describes the mass and body of the context, which is required to be substituted right when an author starts writing up.
Plagiarism forms a strong connection with the concept of contextualization. The linkage bond between the plagiarism and contextualization is described in the following ways:
• Contextualizing plagiarism forms a connection and a strong bond between the text and the reader’s mind because when an author writes up something in their text, they know about the surroundings and backgrounds of the context. When their original text is copied by someone, the person who copies never gets to know about what the original author was trying to describe and was thinking while writing.
• Plagiarism gives rise to the conceptual term of contextualization. It escapes from the ideas of the original author who was working in a certain frame of mind while implementing the text.
• The person who copies someone’s text can never get to that particular event and surroundings of expressions and ideas.
The majority of people plagiarize a certain text in a contextual manner. There are some people who are involved in the behavior of putting and accessing the cheated text. This is known as the case of plagiarism in terms of contextualization. Putting up the cheated text on your forum by representing it as own should be checked instead of giving it an encouraged platform. Such textures should not be promoted rather they should be kept in a spun. This is how plagiarism and copying from a clear linkage with the technical term of contextualization with respect to writing.
At some of the universities, there are used some resources that provide handouts and lesson plans for professors who want to teach students how they can understand contextualizing plagiarism. These lesson plans include activities which help students describe plagiarism, measure their approach toward plagiarism, and make a policy of class plagiarism. The handouts are usually free to be printed by the students.
