Types of Plagiarism according to Law

1. One type of plagiarism is the one in which the writer copies down somebody’s work without citing or mentioning the real writer’s name.
2. In another form of plagiarism, the writer copies the work of someone but gives the citation for somebody else. It means not acknowledging the real author and instead referring the work to somebody else.
3. Self-plagiarism is also a form of plagiarism that is in practice by a few writers. It implies using one’s own previous work and copying it for reuse. It is also termed as recycling fraud and it is also a punishable offense.

It is important to say that sometimes plagiarism is deliberately done by the author. However, in a few cases, the writer does not do it willingly but it happens to occur by chance. It occurs because of not properly citing the actual author in your writing or rephrasing somebody’s work by using most of the actual phrases of the real author.
